Thank You Paperclipping

A big Thank You to Noell and Izzy over at Paperclipping.com! I spent a fun morning as a member of a roundtable discussion on using techniques based ideas in paper crafting. It was a fun - even if it was a bit inTIMidating -  group to be a part of: Jennifer Mcquire, Tim Holtz, Noell Hyman and ME! Yikes.

As many of you know, I love to stretch the limits of products and look at them and use them in a different ways. My favorite part is to share those "What if" explorations with all of you. I look forward to continuing to share my explorations as well as encouraging you to try your own "What if I...." explorations!

Check out todays discussion over at www.paperclipping.com

Layer upon Layer

Here is the latest pages for the Shabby Pockets Mini Album.....

lots of layers and interactive pockets!

This version uses the Trousseau Collection from 7 Gypsies. I have kits available for this version as well as a Simple Stories Summer Fresh version and an Echo Park Note to Self version. The pattern for this project/class is up on the website.

Also back by popular demand....The White Album... TWO!  Last year we worked on a Halloween album that started out from white card stock. This year we are going to create a complete TECHNIQUE filled album (based on my Trunk Full of Memories Album/Project) starting again from white cardstock. We will create out own backgrounds and images as well as make our own embellishments. Too FUN!! The Ustream class will begin on September 8. If there is interest I can put together kits that include the products and materials we will use....let me know if you are interested in having kits available. Here are a couple of pages from last years project.....

 Thanks for stopping by!

Rolling Case....

The On A Roll: A Rolling Suitcase and Mini Album pattern is up on the website.
Note:  The pattern has been released to those who ordered the kits.

Here are photo's of the mini album that goes inside the case as promised. Still needs the embellishments, but you can get an idea of the album. My delayed Bo Bunny order is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow and I will have those kits out ASAP.

I am excited to get started on some new project for late summer and early fall this week. Sneak peeks soon! See you tomorrow for the Rolling Case class on Ustream, 7 pm Pacific.

Ahhhhh.....

....it's only 70 degrees instead of 90 with 70% humidity!  Ahhhhhh....

We will do a short show tonight and really get rolling on the Be My Guest album during the show tomorrow. I am on East Coast time and running on fumes but miss you all and want to chat a bit.

The Be My Guest pattern is up on my website and I have released the pattern to those who orders kits. I wanted to confirm some dimensions on the sample (which was here at home) before putting it up so it didn't go up till today cuz I didn't get home till today....besides the internet connection at the hotel was dismal and I am not sure I could have gotten such a photo heavy file to go out.

See you all in just a few.....

Greetings from Africa....er...Florida!

My family and I are on vacation for a week in the magical world of Disneyworld in Florida.....though it really feels like we are on safari in Africa! We are staying at the amazing Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is an amazing hotel with a 33 acre game sanctuary as art of the experience. We had hoped to catch a glimpse of the Giraffes (Sarah's current favorite animal) and boy, did we! Both nights we had them eating and laying down just outside out room....less than 50 yds away! We have also a Roan Antelope, some Impalas, and a herd of Zebras...it is so cool! A group of Maribou Storks like to hang out at the little pond and an Ostrich wandered nearby as well.

After a long (all night) but uneventful flight, we settled in to the hotel, had some lunch and then headed to Magic Kingdom for just a couple of hours. Had to keep up the tradition of our first ride being The Haunted Mansion! On my first time to Disneyland *cough* years ago. my first ride was Haunted Mansion. Last year with the family, our first ride was also Haunted Mansion. We decided we would make that our family tradition. Got a great idea for a mini while on the ride.....

Friday was spent at the Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Wet and wild times....well...I spent most of it in an innertube floating on the Lazy River....ahhhhh...

Saturday was Sarah's birthday so it was her choice as to where we go. Sooooo, we were off to Animal Kingdom! Even did the Everest Rollar coaster.... more on that on a later post....

Today we spent a couple of hours at Epcot in the morning and then came back to go to the other water park - Blizzard Beasch. Raining a bit, so a water park is a good choice....doesn't matter if we get wet!

Whoops!, before I forget, the kit for the On a Roll Mini Album (a rolling suitcase with album inside) kits will go up on Tuesday and will start shipping as soon as I get back on Friday. Times will be the usual staggered times of 10am, 4pm, and 7pm Pacific Time (have me phone alarms set to remind me...) There will be two versions - Check In by Kaisercraft and Detour by Bo Bunny. The Bo Bunny Version may ship a day or two later than the other....it is scheduled to ship this week but I am not sure of the exact date. Here are some sneak peek photos in cased you missed it on my last Ustream...

Miss you guys!
