CHA Vintage Suitcase Kits...

...are up for Pre-order on my website.

This is the PRE-ORDER kit for a suitcase mini similar in look to the one displayed at Winter 2011 CHA and shown below. The kit includes the pattern/instructions (DO NOT order it separately) to be sent out via emailed PDF. The pattern is anticipated to be emailed out on or before June 13 and will be available for purchase separate from the kits for those who want just the pattern. The kits are estimated ship by June 15th. The photo shows the minimum product to be included in the kit. If I need to make any substitutions, the kit will include a similar item. And who knows, I may add a few things prior to shipment.

The Ustream class is scheduled for June 24 & 25 and July 1 & 2.

Have an awesome Memorial Day weekend!

Almost done...

I am just finishing up the Heritage album pages for this weekend. The pattern will email out tomorrow. I have relapsed a bit and haven't felt well today. Trevor came home from school early today with similar symptoms. We are both off to the doctor tomorrow, I think. I am tired of feeling sick!

Back to Work!!

Okay gang! I'm kicking back into gear...enough of this being sick stuff!

I am starting to plan my schedule for summer and I would love some feedback.
What kind of projects are you interested in?

Mini books?...what themes, if any?
Home Decor items?...what kind?
Cards?
Techniques and product usage?... what products or materials?

I have lots of ideas, but would love to hear what you might be interested in!

Feelin' Better!

Thank you to all of you for your well wishes while I was sick. So many of you suffer from MUCH more serious ailments, so I thank you SOOO much for all of the "get well" wishes! I feeling at about 85% of normal and ready to get back to work.

I have started on a special mini album for the new kitties foster mom. Our new little ones are rescue kittens and were at a foster home for several weeks of their short little lives. Fostering homeless and helpless animals so that they can be adopted into loving homes is truly a gift of love... I don't know if my heart could take giving love to these precious little lives and then give them away! Our little ones had a wonderful foster mom who included photo's of the kittens as individuals and as a litter to each of the families who adopted the tiny furry souls. How precious it is to have those sweet photos! As a thank you, I am making a mini abum of these photos for her to remember The Goddesses, as she named them. I also thank anyone who is generous with their time and love in fostering and giving animals a better chance at a happy and healthy life. I will post the album when it is done.....

Here are some new photos of the girls....

Have an awesome week!!

We have new FURBABIES!

The kids talked me into getting some cute and tiny mice...why not we have the cage, and we already have the hamsters and guinea pigs...what's a couple more rodents, I thought. Well.....

When we got to the pet store, they were having a kitten adoption event. Uh oh. Typically, we look at the kittties and I say no. Something about these two little fur balls spoke to me. So, we came home with not only Salt, Pepper, and Aphrodite (a white, a brown and a black mouse) but these two cuties!

Meet Patches...

...and Isis!

They are sweet little 11 week old sisters from a litter of 5 girls. The other 3 have also been adopted. Everyone is excited to have the new additions...well, we are sure that Sneezer will come to love his new baby sisters as long as we keep letting him know he will always be the number one cat in our hearts and home! Toby is thinking we need another dog as he is feeling out-numbered!

My voice is better today as the antibiotics continue to do their job!

I hate to do this...

...but I am not feeling up to a full, quality show tonight. This infection has really flattened me. I just got some voice back today, but it is an effort to talk. I had to postpone my local class for tomorrow....the first time I've ever had to do that! I will go on for a few minutes to chat and show how to make the Graphic 45 flowers, but we won't do a full show.
Thank you all for understanding!

Still no voice yet...hard for someone who likes to talk just a bit....

hmmm...

me?

Like to talk?

Oh, well.

I don't get sick often, but when I do, I do it full on!

Anyway, pop on over to the Graphic 45 Blog today...

Just sayin'.... (in a croaky, froggy kind of voice....)

Okay, I give in...

I went to the doctor today and have a severe sinus infection which has spread to both eyes...yes, it is as fun as it sounds. Soooo, as so many of you have suggested, I am moving the Heritage class back to the week after the sewing box...May 27/28th. I should be feeling better by Friday with a couple of days of antibiotics under my belt so we will have a show. I will most likely finish a started project or demo something....not sure yet.
The kits for the sewing box are nearly ready and will be going out tomorrow and Thursday. Most should receive well before class the following week.
Thank you all for your well wishes and support!! You are the best!

Heritage Part 5 running late...

I'm still feeling awful...haven't been flattened like this in YEARS! I tried to work on Part 5 of the Heritage Album but ran out of steam pretty quickly. I had hoped to get it out to everyone today....I tried. Looks like I won't have it out till tomorrow at the earliest.
Thanks for understanding!!

Sewing /Jewelry Box class

I have been flooded with emails from those who have NOT received the Sewing/Jewelry Box pattern. Those who ordered the kit prior to April 26 should have received the pattern via email on April 27 (those who ordered after April 26 got their pattern via immediate download)I am not sure why so many did not receive the pattern. Rather than having you all email me if you didn't receive the pattern I will be resending it out to those who should have received it last week. My apologies if you receive a duplicate.

Also, one of the items needed to make the box has been backordered and I will not receive it in time to ship the kits today as anticipated. The delay should only be a day or two but, rather than have many of you receive your kit after the class, I have decided to delay the Sewing/Jewelry class a week by moving the Heritage Part 5 class up week and moving the Sewing/Jewelry Box class class back a week. See the schedule on the side bar for dates and times. There are still a limited number of kits available on the website.

I am also working on the projects for this Friday and the NSD class on Saturday and will post more details later today.

WOW!!!

Spent the past three days at Ranger U...what an amazing experience. Three days of creating, meeting new friends and old, and playing with nearly every product Ranger owns! All I can say is WOW!! I have met people that I know will be friends for life! I have played with products that I have fallen in love with it...and I can't wait to start sharing it with you! On my flight home today, I am going to start outlining some new classes incorporating the techniques and products form this weekend. Here are a few photo's from this amazing weekend.

Here are the over 75 techniques we learned during the weekend

Tim and Claudine...the amazing teachers!

The incredible group of fun and talented artists!

This is a gift I made for Tim...a smaller companion piece for the larger vintage-style suitcase I made for his booth at CHA back in January. It is made from a couple of the insert components from his new Configurations tray and a modified version of my Sunburst Album.

As amazing as this experience has been, I am looking forward to heading home to the wonderful hubby and my kids!!
